Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This policy explains what information may be processed when you visit RomitJSON, use a JSON tool, or send a contact message. It distinguishes JSON entered into the current browser-based tools from technical information handled by the website host and details submitted through the separate contact form.

Privacy at a glance

Read the sections below for details about cookies, third-party services, retention, and privacy requests. Avoid entering sensitive information into an online tool or contact form unless it is approved for that use.

1. Introduction

Welcome to RomitJSON. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and shared when you visit the website and use its online JSON tools.

RomitJSON provides utilities for formatting, validating, viewing, editing, comparing, and converting JSON data. The site also provides a contact form for questions and feedback.

By using the website, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If you do not agree with it, please discontinue using the website.

2. Information We May Process

Usage and technical information

To deliver the website, the hosting provider receives standard connection information such as an IP address, requested page, browser details, and request time. The host may keep technical or security logs according to its configuration and policies. RomitJSON does not control the host's log retention.

Information you provide

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject, and message you submit are sent to FormSubmit so the service can forward the message by email. Please do not include passwords, API keys, confidential business information, or other unnecessary sensitive data.

JSON data entered into tools

The current JSON tools process pasted or opened JSON in your browser. Their code does not send the JSON input to a RomitJSON server. Results remain in the page unless you choose to copy or download them. This statement describes the current tool implementation and should be reviewed if the processing architecture changes.

Analytics and advertising information

RomitJSON uses Google Analytics to measure site use and Google advertising services to display and measure ads. These services may process information such as page views, interactions, browser and device details, approximate location, cookie or advertising identifiers, and ad impressions or clicks. The precise information depends on the services and settings in use. See Google's Privacy Policy and the sections below for details.

3. How Information Is Used

Information may be used to provide the website and requested tool functions, respond to contact messages, maintain service security, measure site traffic and interactions, display and measure advertising, and investigate errors or abuse. Google Analytics and Google advertising services operate under their own terms and privacy information.

JSON tool inputs are processed in the browser by the current tool code and are not sent to a RomitJSON server. This is separate from Google's site measurement and advertising technologies, which may process the site, device, cookie, and ad-interaction information described below.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Google Analytics and Google advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies for measurement, security, ad delivery, frequency controls, and—where enabled and permitted—advertising personalization. Google Analytics may use a first-party cookie such as _ga to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google advertising cookies may help deliver and measure ads, prevent repeated impressions, or personalize ads based on your activity. The cookies and identifiers used depend on Google's services, account settings, browser controls, and your choices. Read Google's publisher guidance on advertising cookies and Analytics data safeguards.

If you choose to open a sample dataset in the JSON Formatter or JSON Viewer, the selected dataset is temporarily placed in this browser tab's session storage to transfer it to that tool, then removed when the tool reads it. This local handoff is separate from Google measurement and advertising technologies and is not sent to a RomitJSON server. Your browser may also cache website files as part of normal operation.

You can manage browser storage through your browser settings and manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. Blocking cookies or third-party requests may affect ad features, measurement, or other website functionality.

5. Analytics and Advertising

Google Analytics

RomitJSON uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and to produce traffic and interaction reports. Google's default Analytics collection can include user and session statistics, approximate geographic information, and browser and device details; Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga. The exact events, settings, and retention period depend on the configuration of the Analytics property. See Google's Analytics data collection documentation.

Google advertising

Google advertising services are used to show and measure ads on the site. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, measure performance, limit repeated ads, and detect invalid activity. If personalized advertising is enabled and applies to your visit, information about activity on this or other sites may be used to help select ads. You can review or change Google ad personalization in Google Ads Settings. You may still see non-personalized ads if personalization is turned off.

Google describes its use of advertising cookies and publisher disclosure expectations in its AdSense required-content guidance and its advertising technologies information. Google's services and settings may change; consult those sources for current details.

6. Third-Party Services

Google Analytics and advertising

Google provides the analytics and advertising services described above. When those services load, your browser may communicate with Google and its related advertising domains. Information collected through those services is handled under Google's policies and the settings selected for the site and your browser. See Google's Privacy Policy, Google's advertising technologies information, and Google Ads Settings.

YAML conversion library

The JSON to YAML converter loads the yaml JavaScript library from jsDelivr. Your browser requests the library from that content delivery network. The request loads code; the converter processes your JSON locally after the library loads, and does not send the JSON input to jsDelivr. See the jsDelivr privacy policy.

Excel conversion library

The JSON to Excel converter loads the xlsx library from jsDelivr. Your browser requests the workbook library from that service. JSON data is transformed in the browser and is not sent to jsDelivr as part of the conversion. See the jsDelivr privacy policy.

JSON validation and path libraries

The JSON Schema Validator loads Ajv and its format validators from esm.sh. The JSONPath Finder loads JSONPath-Plus from esm.sh. Your browser requests these JavaScript libraries from that service. JSON data, schemas, and path expressions are processed locally after the libraries load; the tools do not send those inputs to esm.sh. See the esm.sh service information.

Contact form

Contact form submissions are sent to FormSubmit, which forwards the message by email. FormSubmit processes the submission under its own privacy policy. The contact form is separate from the JSON tools; JSON you enter into a tool is not included in a contact submission.

Hosting and other linked services

The web host processes requests to serve the site and may maintain technical logs. Links to third-party websites are governed by those websites' own policies.

7. How Information Is Shared

RomitJSON does not sell JSON input from the tools. The current tool code processes that input in your browser and does not send it to a RomitJSON server. Hosting providers receive technical request information; FormSubmit receives contact-form fields so it can forward your message; and Google receives information through Analytics and advertising technologies as described in this policy. Google may work with advertising partners under its service settings and policies. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the website, users, or the public from fraud or security incidents.

8. Data Retention

JSON tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to a RomitJSON server by the current tool code. Hosting providers may retain routine request logs, and FormSubmit or the email provider may retain contact submissions under their own settings and policies. Google Analytics data retention is controlled in the Analytics property settings; Google advertising data is retained under Google's applicable service settings and policies. RomitJSON does not control those providers' retention periods.

Information included in a message you send is retained as needed to respond and manage the request, subject to applicable provider and legal requirements.

9. Data Security

Reasonable steps are used to operate the website and its services securely. However, no website, internet transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Local processing does not protect information from other software or people with access to your device.

Avoid submitting sensitive information to online tools or contact forms unless you have confirmed the service is appropriate for that data.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or lodge a complaint with a relevant authority.

To make a privacy-related request, use the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before responding. The rights available to you depend on applicable law and the information held by relevant service providers.

11. Children's Privacy

RomitJSON is intended for general use and is not specifically directed at children. The site does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us.

12. Third-Party Websites

RomitJSON may link to third-party services, websites, or documentation. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and practices. Review their policies before sharing information with them. RomitJSON is not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of third-party websites.

13. International Data Processing

The web host, Google, FormSubmit, jsDelivr, esm.sh, or email providers may process technical, analytics, advertising, or contact information in countries other than your own. Locations and safeguards depend on the provider, service, account configuration, and applicable law. Consult the relevant provider's policies for details.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated as the website, tools, service providers, or applicable obligations change. When it changes, the updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Where required by law, additional notice or consent will be provided.

15. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests relating to this Privacy Policy, contact us through the RomitJSON Contact page. Include enough information for us to understand your request, but do not send passwords, API keys, or unnecessary sensitive information.
